Is Hupu available in my area?

Hupu currently operates in KwaZulu-Natal, from the Upper Highway all the way through to Blythedale Beach on the north coast. We’re in the process of expanding our footprint in KZN, and we have our eye on the Western Cape and Gauteng next! To check if Hupu serves your area, you can use the map tool on the homepage to find out. If we don’t yet deliver to your area, you can suggest it here:

How do I place an order on Hupu?

To place an order, you must create an account or sign into your existing Hupu account. Find the store that serves your area using the map tool and start filling your basket. When you are finished, hit ‘Checkout’ at the bottom of the page, and you will be guided through the payment process. You can pay with a card or Zapper.

What is the cut-off date?

Each store has a dedicated delivery or collection day. Orders for most products will be cut off 3 days before fulfilment, so make sure to plan ahead and put in your order before stock runs out! If you can’t see a category, it’s likely that that category has already closed for your selected delivery day.

When will I receive my Hupu order?

You will receive an email on the day that your order is ready for collection or delivery. You can double check the time and date that your order will be ready by viewing your order details from this page and clicking on the Collection Time. If we’re delivering to you, we’ll get in touch on the day to confirm the time you can expect us.

Is the Hupu product selection the same in all areas?

No, Hupu sources products that are local to you. Some products can be supplied to larger areas, but items with a short shelf life will always come from as close as possible. Every Hupu store has a unique mix of products.

Does Hupu deliver to residential addresses?

Yes, some Hupu stores make deliveries to selected residential areas. You can tell whether a store delivers by looking out for the van icon on the store thumbnail.

Do you deliver to business addresses?

Yes, we’ll happily deliver to your office. Hupu also works closely with companies to set up collection points for their staff.

Which payment methods do you support?

Hupu accepts Zapper, credit and debit card payments. Hupu uses the Advance payment system, which allows for your details to be securely saved for future payments.

Can I repeat a previous order?

Yes, Hupu allows you to repeat your favourite order. Due to stock constraints of our local suppliers, some items may not be available every week, but you won’t be charged for products that aren’t in stock. To repeat an order, visit the My Orders page and select ‘Order Again’. This will populate your basket with products from the selected previous order. You can then add or remove products and checkout.

Do you have a mobile app?

Yes, Hupu has a native mobile app for both Android and iOS devices. The app contains all of the newest Hupu features first, so make sure to check it out.

Are your products ethically sourced?

Yes, we are passionate about fair trade and environmental sustainability. Hupu ensures that it only deals with suppliers that meet our code of ethics.

Can we see a list of your products?

No, we do not have a single list of products, as each store uses products from their local suppliers. Some products will be available in one area, but not in another. You can explore the full product range for each store without needing an account.

Do you cater for special dietary needs?

Yes, Hupu stocks a wide variety of lactose, sugar and gluten free products. These range from delicious sugar-free chocolate, to speciality baking ingredients and gluten-free snacks. You can find out more about each product by clicking on a product image – here you will see who produced it, what allergens need to be noted, what the ingredients are, and if the product caters to your dietary requirements.
